From Developer to DevOps: out of necessity

Published on June 16, 2026

Nobody learns DevOps because they want to.

You learn it because you need to solve something real. 🔥

I wanted to deploy my own service.

The code was ready, the API running locally… but when production time came, I didn't know where to start.

A server? Nginx? Ports? SSL? 😅 None of that was in any programming tutorial.

Necessity pushed me to learn.

I set up my first VPS, understood nginx, lost my fear of the terminal. 💻

Today I maintain several services in production, including LuminHealth, and I automate infrastructure on AWS.

If you're waiting for the "perfect" moment to learn DevOps — it's not coming, Champion. 💪

The moment comes when something you built needs to live in production.

What was it that forced you to make that leap? 👇

Keep flying, Champions! ✈️
